Everyday life is full of astounding events, sights, and people. Unfortunately, we fail to notice most of these opportunities to be amazed. We take for granted the beauty of nature, the miraculous things we have created to make our life easier, and the uniqueness of the people we share our lives with. This Haiku tries to capture my melancholy about this. If only we can be more aware of the small miracles we mindlessly blur out, we will find a lot more happiness in our lives.
And there is hope for us still – we can be more aware and happier.
To me, this Haiku also expresses that hope. After all, the last line says yet unnoticed. It is not too late for us. We can still open our awareness and bask in its glory.
