I was lucky enough to be able to spend my vacation right on the ocean, with a well-protected coral reef nearby. Watching from the jetty as the fish race through their underwater city and snorkeling along the border of the reef inspired this Haiku:
Obviously, this ecosystem is in grave danger, especially from climate change. Life and the beauty of nature are fragile miracles that we need to protect – not just for ourselves and future generations, but for the sake of the entire planet.
